We are interested in strengthening our consulting team at all levels with outstanding candidates, and are looking for highly talented people with a wide range of work experience to join us. 

As a graduate at Arthur D. Little, you will immediately become a member of a case team and perform analytic casework to support the case manager and consultants within the case. We believe that being immediately involved in actual casework is the best way to learn the craft of consultancy. Graduates typically join us as Business Analysts. MBA graduates with the relevant working experience generally join us at the next career level, as Consultants.

Those with the right experience who are already working in consulting, or considering doing so from industry roles, may also join at Manager or Principal level.   • To work closely with the consulting team to identify and structure research needs

  • To conduct research, and engage with external experts to identify leading edge market insights

Major Responsibilities

  • Search, identify and evaluate subject matter specialists to participate in ongoing research and project activities
  • Support other consultants to engage and gain insights from specialists mainly via telephone and online interview
  • Carry out desk research for both business development activities and projects, including information on market, industry, company, policy, potential candidates for recruitment, etc.
  • Identify and maintain major sources of public domain information, compile and update source lists
  • Database and categorize major research results into specific searches, and share with consultants
  • Assist in maintaining the company’s knowledge and project learning in China, creating know-how and sharing with consultants
  • Assist in translating documents and creating PowerPoint slides
  • Keep consultants fully informed of the research progress, deliver interim and final research reports on time

Ideal Experience & Personal Profile

Has a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar or related role in a professional knowledge network firm, a top management consultancy or market research company.

Experience and capabilities needed include:

  • Strong academic record, a bachelor degree from a major universities/college in China, preferably majoring in management, engineering, finance, economics, or languages
  • Basic skills in analysis and problem solving are essential
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Good team work, with strong communication skills written and orally
  • Business-level fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English
  • Willing and able to be based in Shanghai
  • Very strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Willingness to develop self into a professional consultant will be a plus

Role: Procurement Management Consultants

Arthur D. Little is one of the fastest growing management consultancies in the world, and in China. Now we are looking for some of the brightest, and most motivated consulting professionals to join our growing China team. We are looking for the best, who are ambitious and want to take on leadership roles. Right now, we are looking to strengthen our Operations Management team, in the area of Procurement.

We are looking for candidates with between 5-15 years’ experience, in strategic procurement development. You will already have had an outstanding record of accomplishment within a top management consultancy in China, and maybe additionally in industry. You will have already had experience of managing consulting projects in procurement.

In our China Operations Management team, your role will involve taking responsibility for projects, and working with leading Chinese organisations as clients. You will take a key role in building and strengthening the firm’s market positon as a premium strategic management consulting firm. We will expect you to leverage your knowledge and experience in building client relationships, developing innovative new services, and building our team expertise, to support our already rapid business growth and project portfolio.

You will get to work with some of the most dynamic and capable consulting colleagues in China, and with Arthur D. Little expert teams around the world.

You should be fluent in both written and spoken Chinese and English, and be willing to be based in Shanghai. In addition, we expect a strong academic track record, and the necessary entrepreneurial skills to succeed in such a fast-paced environment.
